Iterative Healthcare Gets $77M to Expand Clinical Research Network
Iterative Healthcare, which is building a multi-specialty clinical research network that it says embeds research directly into clinical care, has closed a $77 million Series C financing round.
Noting that nearly 90% of U.S.-based trials fail to meet enrollment targets on time, Iterative Health said it is addressing this challenge by building a clinical research network and offering centralized operations, expert staffing, proprietary AI technology, and deep clinical trial expertise.
The Cambridge, Mass.-based company’s global network has grown to more than 100 research sites across North America, Europe, India, and Australia, as well as partnerships with over 40 pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and contract research organizations.
The new funding will support expansion into additional therapeutic areas beyond gastroenterology and hepatology, to include deepening Iterative Health's recent entry into cardiology and obesity, as well as continued geographic growth. Iterative Health will continue to broaden partnerships with leading provider organizations, building on existing collaborations with GI Alliance, OneGI, and U.S. Heart & Vascular.
In a release, one cardiologist explained the value of the relationship with Iterative Healthcare. “Innovation in cardiovascular medicine shouldn't be limited to a few academic centers," said Thomas Waggoner, D.O., M.D., structural cardiologist and medical director for clinical research at Pima Heart & Vascular, and USHV physician champion for clinical research. "By expanding community-based research across USHV, we're ensuring more patients have access to clinical trials and breakthrough therapies close to home, where trusted relationships with their physicians already exist."
