NeHC recently released a survey that stated while 53 percent of its members rank patient engagement as a high priority, only eight percent have clearly defined strategies for patient engagement.

In addition, Berry talks about NeHC’s recent Consumer Consortium on eHealth Engagement Summit, which took place in Washington D.C., where various stakeholders in healthcare including government officials, representatives from vendors, providers, and other non-profits, met to discuss the critical issues regarding patient engagement.
