Konica Minolta Inks Three-Year CR Contract with Premier

Dec. 23, 2009

Wayne, NJ. December 21, 2009– Konica Minolta announced today that the company has been awarded a three-year contract for CR systems with Premier Purchasing Partners L.P., the group purchasing unit of one of the nation’s largest healthcare purchasing networks. The contract begins January 1, 2010 and includes Konica Minolta’s industry leading dual bay Xpress CR and the single bay Nano CR.

“Premier’s members can now enjoy access to Konica Minolta’s complete CR product line, knowing that they will receive one of the industry’s top rated systems at a very competitive price,” says Michael Zinchini, Director of Corporate Accounts. “We thank Premier’s imaging committee for selecting our CR products and believe this is another great example of Premier responding to its members’ wishes.”

Zinchini also surmises Xpress CR’s continued top ranking by MD Buyline users and consecutive Best in KLAS ratings helped contribute to Konica Minolta’s success in securing a Premier contract. For 17 straight quarters, MD Buyline’s users have rated Konica Minolta the top CR vendor, while the Xpress CR was named the best multi-bay CR by KLAS Enterprises in 2008 and 2009.

“In the past several years, Konica Minolta has invested in broadening its CR product line, with a continued focus on high-quality imaging, ease-of-use and extremely high customer satisfaction,” adds Zinchini.

The Konica Minolta REGIUS Xpress CR Dual Plate and Nano CR Single Plate systems utilize a common user interface, which offers flexible, customized network solutions with any combination of readers and workstations to maximize workflow at the most cost-effective price. Both the Xpress CR and Nano CR use Konica Minolta’s patented rigid image plate technology and a cassette handling method that helps yield Konica Minolta the lowest downtime and highest customer satisfaction ratings in the industry.
