Feb. 17, 2010

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 16 — Carestream Health, Inc., announced that leading healthcare providers across the United States have ordered the company’s RIS/PACS solutions to boost productivity and convenience for radiologists, clinicians and radiology staff.

These platforms also enable facilities to streamline all aspects of the radiology workflow from exam order and patient scheduling to the delivery of radiology reports. Ultimately these innovative digital systems can help deliver enhanced patient care.

Healthcare providers that recently ordered Carestream Health’s healthcare information and image management solutions include:

  • Delta Radiology (Lodi, Calif.) purchased a CARESTREAM RIS/PACS
  • Claremore Regional Hospital (Claremore, Okla.), Deaconess Hospital (Oklahoma City, Okla.), Estes Park Medical Center (Estes Park, Colo.) and Mendocino Coast District Hospital (Fort Bragg, Calif.) ordered a CARESTREAM PACS; and
  • Tift Regional Medical Center (Tifton, Ga.) and Diagnostic Outpatient Imaging (El Paso, Texas) purchased a CARESTREAM RIS.

The CARESTREAM RIS platform boasts gains in productivity for schedulers, radiologists and managers; customizable features that streamline workflow throughout the enterprise; and critical results reporting to help ensure the highest level of patient care. In addition, strategic management tools help providers analyze performance and maximize revenue opportunities.

The CARESTREAM PACS supports user-defined preferences and diagnostic tools from any on-site or remote PC or workstation. An innovative tool called PowerViewer enhances radiologist productivity with rapid, automatic registration and volumetric matching of 3D studies created at different times and by different modalities. Native applications for the CARESTREAM PACS include 3D, vessel and cardiac analysis along with specialized tools for evaluating mammography images.
