Datagen Signs Agreement to Provide Information Products and Services to Oregon Hospitals

March 5, 2010

ALBANY, N.Y. – DataGen, a HANYS Solutions company, announced today that the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems (OAHHS) has signed an agreement to purchase DataGen’s full range of health care data analytics products, including Medicare and Medicaid reporting services. OAHHS represents 58 acute care hospitals across the state of Oregon.

With this agreement, DataGen now provides its unique products and services to 37 state hospital/health care associations and more than 85% of all hospitals across the nation.

DataGen provides timely and affordable financial analyses of major reimbursement changes and unsurpassed real-time information on legislative changes that affect hospital and health system operations, particularly concerning the Medicare and Medicaid systems. With DataGen, OAHHS members will be able to interpret and assess state and federal health policy issues and their impact on hospital finances.

“Strategic decisions in health care—or any industry—must be made based on current, reliable, and comprehensive information. As operational budgets tighten and dramatic reform proposals loom on the horizon, today’s health care decision makers need the right data to steer their organizations in a successful direction,” DataGen President Michael Ilnicki said. “We are excited to work with OAHHS, and help provide Oregon’s hospitals with the analysis and expertise needed in today’s health care environment.”

In addition to 58 acute care hospitals, OAHHS membership includes ten health systems and related health plans, 16 affiliated allied organizations, and 32 associate members representing health care consulting and other service companies.
