LexisNexis acquires EDIWatch, provider of healthcare fraud waste and abuse workflow solutions

ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–LexisNexis Risk Solutions today announced it has acquired EDIWatch, Inc., a privately-held leading provider of fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) technology solutions exclusively for the healthcare payer industry.

EDIWatch’s portfolio addresses FWA detection, recovery, and prevention; leverages automated business fraud rules and analytics; and offers user-friendly case management workflow tools and investigatory services. EDIWatch customers consist of commercial health insurance plans, state Medicaid agencies, and Medicare/Medicaid managed care organizations.

EDIWatch's operations will be integrated into the healthcare business unit of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, which is led by Vice President and General Manager Harry Jordan. EDIWatch co-founder Paul Slagle will assume a new role within the LexisNexis Health Care business unit as senior director, Fraud, Waste & Abuse Solutions, reporting to Jordan. EDIWatch is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and will be integrated into LexisNexis.
