FRISCO, Texas – March 27, 2013 — ZeOmega Inc., a premier provider of software solutions for population healthcare management, announced today that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana deployed the Jiva software solution by ZeOmega as part of its population health strategy to improve the overall health of its more than 1.4 million members. The initial deployment was completed in May 2012.

“Jiva’s architecture allows the individual to be at the center of things, instead of the service, condition or contract number. This is integral to effectively interacting with individuals and their providers in a patient centered population health approach,” says Cynthia Hallam, vice president of care solutions for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. “With Jiva, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana was able to automate many internal workflows. Our users also like the user interface. The software is delivering just-in-time information, alerts and fulfillment.”

“We are pleased to be an active partner with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana in managing and improving the health of their customers,” says Nandini Rangaswamy, executive vice president and chief financial officer for ZeOmega. “We are confident that, by using Jiva, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana will realize efficiencies in their workflow, while supporting an effective and positive member experience.”
