2013 annual Best in KLAS Awards for Medical Equipment & Infrastructure released

Orem, Utah – June 14, 2013 – KLAS just released the 2013 Best in KLAS Awards: Medical Equipment & Infrastructure report ranking the best-performing imaging, pharmacy automation and infrastructure vendors in the world. This year, over 180 products were ranked by healthcare providers.

Some highlights from this year include:

  • Philips claims the crown as overall performance leader in imaging equipment for the first time;
  • FUJIFILM drops from overall performance winner last year to fifth place this year;
  • Omnicell wins overall pharmacy automation equipment; and
  • Vocera takes the title of Best in KLAS in wireless communications after a two-year reign by Cisco.

 “We're seeing real movement in the market,” says Kent Gale, KLAS founder and VP of medical imaging and equipment. “It's a strong indicator of the increasing competitiveness of the vendors as they strive to improve their offerings.
