The American Medical Association (AMA) announced details of a virtual brainstorming discussion on potential transformative goals for your physician of the future. The discussion will bring physicians, patients, policymakers academics and advocates together with health care's top minds to help chart medicine's future course.
Join the AMA-hosted discussion from June 17-19 during the Innovation HealthJam, a free, online, interactive conference covering emerging industry issues across eight important health care related topic areas.
During the three-day event, there will be unprecedented opportunity for a broad audience to converse and collaborate with AMA experts and exchange ideas on shaping the goals for the physicians of the future. The topics that will be covered in the AMA forum include:
- Shaping the physician of the future with Susan Skochelak, M.D.
- Innovating the care experience with Michael Tutty, Ph.D.
- Forging clinical-community linkages to prevent chronic disease with Karen Kmetik, Ph.D.
“The delivery of health care is changing and the AMA's unique expertise on issues affecting patients and physicians provides a leading voice for practical solutions,” said AMA President Ardis Dee Hoven, M.D. “Addressing major health care challenges requires anticipating the needs of tomorrow's patients and physicians and the AMA wants to hear a broad perspective during the virtual town hall on what is expected from the physician of the future.”
The Innovation HealthJam is open to industry stakeholders in health care and technology. Anyone interested in attending must register at http://www.innovationhealthjam.com and can participate in discussions at any time during the three-day event.
