AHIMA textbook offers outline for success in HIM field

A revised American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) book, Health Information Management Technology: An Applied Approach, Fifth Edition  creates a blueprint for students to succeed in the health information management (HIM) field.

“As the health information management profession evolves to include more electronic roles, students must be ready,” said AHIMA CEO Lynne Thomas Gordon, MBA, RHIA, CAE, FACHE, FAHIMA. “This book is a vital tool in preparing for RHIT certification and ultimately becoming a successful professional in today’s health information management industry.”

The material in the revised book is written for associate degree students in easy-to-understand language, including approachable examples and scenarios.
