Lenovo Health partners with the Center for Connected Medicine

Oct. 27, 2016

Lenovo Health announces its partnership with the Center for Connected Medicine, a collaborative executive briefing center located in Pittsburgh, Pa., that showcases the transformation of healthcare. The two organizations chose to collaborate based on their shared vision of an intelligent, connected community-of-care ecosystem.

One way that Lenovo Health will utilize the Center for Connected Medicine is to showcase its answer to the call for a unique health safety identifier, Lenovo Health Authoritative Identity Management Exchange (AIMe), powered by LifeMed ID. Lenovo Health AIMe allows the patient to use a single identifier across the care continuum, eliminating the risks of duplicate records, medical identity theft, and payment fraud. Lenovo Health AIMe streamlines workflow, reduces administrative errors, and ensures greater quality care for the patient.

“Being a partner of the Center for Connected Medicine allows Lenovo Health to collaborate, advocate, and demonstrate the necessity for an intelligent health ecosystem to support a value-based care model,” said Tom Foley, Director of Global Health Solution Strategy at Lenovo Health. “Through this partnership, Lenovo Health can spotlight our innovative spirit and our latest discoveries and solutions helping to advance the healthcare technology industry.”

“With the Center’s long history of engaging partnerships, we’re pleased to welcome Lenovo Health as a founding partner alongside GE, IBM, Nokia and UPMC. Lenovo Health’s broad portfolio of healthcare IT products and services tells a great story that closely aligns with the Center’s focus on engaging visitors in discussions around technology and its impact on care delivery and operations,” said Rasu Shrestha, M.D., chief innovation officer of UPMC, one of the nation’s leading integrated healthcare provider and insurance systems.

The Center for Connected Medicine is the world’s first collaborative healthcare executive briefing center and has hosted more than 40,000 visitors from more than 60 countries since opening in 2009. Those visiting the Center engage in discussions about how best to overcome barriers to achieve a more cohesive approach to medicine, and experience ways technology developed by each of the Center’s partners can be integrated to transform and enhance care delivery.
