Cape Radiology Picks Amicas
Cape Radiology Group has chosen Amicas' Vision Series PACS, Vision Series RIS, Vision Series Document Management, and Vision Reach to automate its imaging operations.
According to Boston-based Amicas, its Vision Series PACS (picture archiving and communications system) is a Web-based system that provides image management to radiologists, radiology staff, IT support staff, and referring physicians. Vision Series RIS (radiology information system) is a Web-based solution focused on the needs of radiology groups and imaging centers, says the company. Vision Reach delivers images and results to referring physicians.
Cape Radiology Group provides radiology services to over 20 area hospitals and medical facilities, and is located in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
CareSpark Deploys Initiate
CareSpark (Chicago), a not-for-profit regional health information organization (RHIO) serving the Central Appalachian region of the United States, has selected Identity Hub software from Initiate Systems Inc (Chicago), a provider of enterprise master person index (EMPI) solutions.
According to Initiate, its software will link and match patient records for CareSpark's consortium of providers, employers and payers in the northeastern Tennessee and southwestern Virginia region.
Identity Hub software will support CareSpark in generating patient information for participating caregivers and patients, says the company. In addition, Initiate contends its software will aid CareSpark's efforts to support patients' ability to determine what information will be shared.
Christiana Care Selects Greencastle
Christiana Care Health System has selected Greencastle Consulting to assist in the implementation of GE's Centricity ambulatory electronic medical record (EMR) system.
According to Greencastle, it will provide project management, organizational change and governance structure services — in support of the EMR implementation— to Christiana's recently re-organized physician group, Medical Group of Christiana Care. Greencastle will also assist Christiana Care with electronic medical administration record system (eMAR) and perioperative RFID projects, says the consulting firm.
Christiana Care Health System is one of the region's largest not-for profit healthcare providers, and is headquartered in Wilmington, Del. Greencastle Consulting, a project management and consulting services firm focused on clinical transformation, is based in Fraser, Pa.
Merge Grabs Three Contracts
Merge Healthcare, a medical imaging software and services provider based in Milwaukee, has signed contracts to provide three facilities with its Fusion RIS/PACS MX solution.

NovaRad Corporation recently signed contracts with three orthopedic centers to provide its imaging solution, NovaPACS.

NovaRad, a provider of PACS, RIS, CR and peripherals to small and medium-sized hospitals and radiology centers, is based in American Fork, Utah.
