Community General Hospital — a 356-bed facility in Syracuse, N.Y., that offers medical and surgical care, emergency treatment, intensive care, acute rehabilitation, and other services — is in the midst of a large automation project to empower clinicians by providing them with a wealth of information on any Internet-connected computer.
It's an ambitious endeavor being helmed by Mitch Rozonkiewiecz, Community General's vice president of information systems and CIO. He recently chatted with Healthcare Informatics Managing Editor Anthony Guerra to discuss where the organization was trying to go with its Digital Passport.
