Samaritan Hospital, a 110-bed facility located in Ashland, Ohio, is rolling out Andover, Mass.-based Siemens Enterprise Communications Group (SEN Group)’s voice and data connectivity to provide wireless connectivity for voice over IP telephony and networked medical devices.

According to the company, the network will use a combination of HiPath Wireless V6 for remote connectivity, HiPath 4000 for VoIP, Enterasys C-Series and N-Series switches for the data network, and NMS Policy Manager software to improve productivity throughout the facility. The network will also support medical devices including Dräger wireless heart monitors, it says.

Samaritan Regional Health System is a 100-year-old acute care facility located between Cleveland and Columbus.
