SureScripts President and CEO Kevin Hutchinson plans to leave the Alexandria, Va.-based company at the end of January.

Between now and his planned departure, the company says Hutchinson will continue to support recent efforts by Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt and Congress to incentivize physicians and pharmacies to adopt e-prescribing technology into their practices.

Following Hutchinson’s departure, SureScripts chief operating officer, Rick Ratliff, will serve as acting CEO.
