Bayshore Home Health, a provider of home and community health care services based in Ontario, is rolling out a mobile electronic charting program developed on the MedShare (Ontario) eMotion platform.

By transitioning to an electronic format, Bayshore aims to reduce costs, increase efficiencies and assist nurses and unregulated care providers in delivering a higher level of service, according to the company. The tool allows clinicians to document at the point of care, and provides a secure, ongoing electronic history of encounters that gives staff access to the information they need to make evidence-informed decisions and provide quality care, it touts.

Established in 1966, Bayshore Home Health is Canada’s largest provider of home and community health care services, with more than 40 home care offices, 20 community care clinics and 8,000 employees. Its core services are in-home nursing, personal care and home support.
