Updated information on 2005 data from HIMSS Analytics Database and the 2006 Annual Report of the U.S. Hospital IT Market has been released by the Dorenfest Institute for Health Information Technology Research and Education, managed by the HIMSS Foundation (Chicago), in an effort to support healthcare IT research and investment.

According to HIMSS, the 2006 Annual Report of the U.S. Hospital IT Market examines hospital budgets as well as financial, technology, and department environments and presents key findings on IT investment and enterprise resource planning.

The updated 2005 data from the HIMSS Analytics Database covers IT use in hospitals and integrated healthcare delivery networks, says HIMSS.
