Brian Lane, vice president of strategic alliances at AHA Solutions (Chicago), a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association, has been named a society fellow by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (Chicago).

Lane has over 15 years experience in the healthcare field. He has held consulting and strategic management positions for Fortune 500 companies and Big 4 consulting practices, and is a Rush University faculty member within the school's Health Systems Management program.

HIMSS has approximately 20,000 members, with only 336 of those achieving fellow status, the organization stated. Fellows must be members of the organization for a minimum of five consecutive years.
