Unity Health Care, Washington, D.C.’s largest community health center network, purchased licenses of Westborough, Mass.-based eClinicalWorks EMR and PM solution for more than 100 providers through a federally funded grant.
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), part of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, provided $1.4 million in funding to Unity for the purchase. HRSA is the primary federal agency for improving access to healthcare services for patients who are uninsured, isolated, or medically vulnerable.
Unity provides care to underserved populations through its 31 locations across the District of Columbia and offers a full range of services regardless of patients’ ability to pay, it says.
