Battle Creek Health System (BCHS) in Battle Creek, Mich. has installed SurgiNet, a Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner application that works within the Genesis clinical system.

According to the company, the application allows physicians and clinicians to safely document all pre-, post- and intra-operative activity in “real-time.”

Cerner’s Anesthesia Module, one of the tools offered, will enable anesthesia providers and surgical bedside medical devices to electronically capture all anesthesia-related information and feed it directly into the EHR, says the company.
