Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS) has named Misys Healthcare Systems (Raleigh, N.C.) as a strategic solution vendor and "affinity partner" for its statewide organization, representing eight county medical associations and more than 7,000 physicians across Connecticut.

According to Misys, CSMS members will be eligible for discounts on solutions from the Misys portfolio. Included are Misys software-based applications and services that enhance electronic medical records (EMRs), patient communications, revenue cycle and claims management, and other areas, contends the company.

As the first strategic solutions supplier to become an affinity partner of CSMS (New Haven, Conn.), Misys and the society will establish a closer working relationship and explore ways to better serve the needs of physicians and the Connecticut healthcare community, says Misys.
