ARUP Laboratories (Salt Lake City, Utah), a national medical reference laboratory, has released its ARUP Consult 2.0 — the physician's guide to laboratory test selection and interpretation.

According to ARUP, the software is designed to help physicians stay up-to-date on changing laboratory information, and has expanded to offer more than 1,500 tests categorized by disease-related topics.

Topic entries include the following features:

· Clinical background information, test ordering suggestions, and concise diagnostic advice.

· Congruent with and links to national guidelines and relevant references.

· More than 40 algorithms to support clinical decision-making.

· Updated and new content released every eight weeks.
