Omnicell Unveils Med Dispensing Solution

Austin, Texas-based Omnicell, Inc. has introduced SafetyMed, a bedside point-of-care solution.

According to the company, the system integrates Omnicell’s bedside point-of-care software with a smart mobile cart for a secure, multi-functional workstation. The SafetyMed bedside point-of-care solution is accessed through a secure Web browser via the hospital’s existing wireless network using bar code technology to validate real-time medication order details.
