Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Fife Health Boards of Scotland have contracted with Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream Health Inc. to provide 11 Kodak Directview systems for digital radiography.
The company says Fife Health Board is planning to install Kodak Directview DR7500 systems at the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline and one system each in Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and the new St. Andrews Memorial Hospital in St. Andrews.
The health system is building two new ambulatory care hospitals in and around Glasgow ― the Victoria Infirmary on the south side of the city, and Stobhill Hospital on the north. According to the company, the new Victoria will be one of the largest hospitals in Scotland and is expected to treat around 400,000 patients annually when it opens later this year, while the Stobhill Hospital will provide facilities for the people of Glasgow.
