Quality Partners of Rhode Island (Providence), a nationally recognized leader in health care quality improvement, today announced that it has been selected to participate in the Rhode Island Regional Extension Center’s (RI REC) Vendor Marketplace. Quality Partners’ participation in the Vendor Marketplace will give Rhode Island physicians access to the organization’s Health Information Technology (HIT) Advisors’ expertise and services. To date, Quality Partners’ HIT Advisors have assisted over 100 Rhode Island practices

In the REC marketplace, physicians can find vendors and implementation consultants, compare services, and access standardized tools and services for effective implementation. By identifying qualified EHR vendors and consultants, the REC helps doctors choose and implement EHRs quickly and with reduced risk of failed installations.

The REC was formed under a federal grant intended to assist healthcare providers in adopting EHRs and achieve Meaningful Use of EHRs. The RI REC is a program of the Rhode Island Quality Institute (RIQI).
