University of Kansas Medical Center (KU Medical Center) of Kansas City, Kan., is planning to deploy a comprehensive research system. KU Medical Center signed with Freemont, Calif.-based clinical trials management information systems company, Velos Inc.

According to the company, the medical center will deploy Velos eResearch in a comprehensive, system-wide roll-out that supports the regulatory, administrative, financial and clinical information needs of the institution’s clinical research programs.

The company says KU Medical Center will implement the system over a two-year period. The objective of the implementation, it says, is to provide medical researchers with State-of-the-Art systems to support clinical research, data and biospecimen management and data capture.

KU Medical Center has more than 2,900 students, and is in partnership with many institutions, including The University of Kansas Hospital.
