Ingenix Acquires Healthia Consulting

Ingenix, a global health care informatics, technology, data, research and consulting company based in Eden Prairie, Minn. has acquired Healthia Consulting, a healthcare consulting firm based in Minneapolis.

Ingenix says it will honor all Healthia's existing contracts and agreements, and maintain and expand ongoing relationships. The infrastructure of Healthia Consulting will remain intact within the Ingenix organization, with all Healthia employees joining the Ingenix team.

According to Ingenix, combining the two companies will expand Ingenix's footprint in hospital and physician consulting. In addition, Ingenix says it will increase its capabilities in the area of health care interoperability by leveraging Healthia's electronic medical record experience.

The deal was completed September 5, 2007. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
