John Kansky, vice president of business development of the Indiana Health Information Exchange (Indianapolis), has been selected as a member of Chicago-based HIMSS’ Health Information Exchange (HIE) Steering Committee.

According to the organization, the committee will serve in a resource capacity to HIMSS leadership, monitor the HIE and RHIO landscape, provide foundational technology expertise, and provide input into and support for HIMSS’ strategic direction in the content area of HIEs and RHIOs.

Kansky’s two-year appointment on the HIE Steering Committee will begin July 1, 2008. He currently serves on the board of the Indiana Chapter of HIMSS.
