Melville, N.Y.-headquartered Henry Schein has signed an exclusive marketing agreement for the Chicago-based Allscripts Professional Electronic Health Record.
Allscripts says under the agreement, Henry Schein is to market the EMR solution to physicians nationwide, including Henry Schein’s customer base of more than 100,000 physician practices. In addition, the company will also work with its medical device and productivity partners to drive full integration of its solutions into the Allscripts Professional product.
According to Allscripts, adding the Allscripts Professional product to Henry Schein’s portfolio of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and equipment, enables the company to become more competitive for physician practice needs.
