Ridgefield, Conn.-based Quinnipiac University has selected CoActiv EXAM-PACS for its diagnostic imaging educational center. The center will provide a radiology training opportunity for the university’s school of medicine, which is scheduled to open in 2012.
Bill Hennessy, director of the university’s diagnostic imaging program, says CoActiv EXAM-PACS supports storage of patient information, from scanned data such as patient forms and prescriptions, to radiation therapy images and DICOM-RT datasets including treatment plans. Hennessy also points out that in addition to radiology education, Quinnipiac is also known for its imaging forensics and bioanthropology programs and part of a worldwide network of researchers involved in the scanning and analysis of Egyptian mummies.
