Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc. (Stamford, Conn.) has released Synapse version 3.2, a picture archiving and communication system (PACS).

According to Fujifilm, the software is designed to facilitate the adoption of digital mammography by providing capabilities for the soft copy interpretation of mammography and other breast imaging studies.

The company says improvements include:

- Integrating CAD into both the technologist and radiologist workflow.

- Enabling the display of CAD markers.

- Providing support for MQSA compliant overlays.
