As part of an IT upgrade project, the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center in Guangzhou, South-China., will install a large number of Nio Fusion and Coronis Fusion display systems from Kortrijk, Belgium-based Barco.
According to the company, these large-screen displays allow physicians to visualize various clinical modalities on a single diagnostic display station, without the hindering central bezel that is typical for a traditional PACS display setup.
The Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, where Barco's displays will be installed, is the largest specialized center for cancer treatment, training, research and prevention in southern China. It has about 1,000 in-patient beds and over 1,500 staff members with more than 100 senior specialists.
