The Doctors' Center Hospital in Manati, Puerto Rico has selected Medhost's emergency department information system in an effort to improve patient care and streamline procedures.

According to the company, its product suite, called Medhost, provides the hospital with patient tracking and order entry to reduce patient wait times, and improve workflow in the emergency department.

Medhost (Addison, Texas) says by implementing its product, the healthcare facility will provide its staff with the means to monitor patient processes in real time. In addition, Medhost interfaces with doctors' existing hospital information system, Infomedika, and with ancillary departments, including lab and radiology, the company says.
