Mediware Information Systems Inc. has agreed to market Neoteric Technology Ltd.'s BloodTrack transfusion administration and tracking products, while also integrating them into HCLL, Mediware's blood transfusion management system.
According to Mediware (Lenexa, Kan.), the BloodTrack suite extends the control of blood products beyond the blood bank, such as electronically tracking blood units and monitoring inventory levels. HCLL's products enable healthcare facilities to streamline the blood management processes — from donation to transfusion.
According to Mediware, its agreement with Neoteric (Vancouver, B.C.) is designed so as to provide healthcare institutions with a closed loop transfusion information environment.
