Memorial Medical Center (MMC) of Western Michigan, an 87-bed community hospital located in Ludington, Mich., is deploying a wireless LAN from Lowery Computer (Brighton, Mich.), a Motorola (Shaumburg, Ill.) channel partner.

The hospital’s new Motorola WLAN technology will enable end-to-end voice, video and data mobility across the entire healthcare facility, says the company. Patients and guests will also have access to high-speed Internet access.

The new wireless network replaces the hospital’s legacy infrastructure and, says the company, offers a backbone for the development and implementation of future technologies.
