Milwaukee, Wis.-based Mortara Instrument and ScImage (Los Altos, Calif.) will collaborate on the DICOM ECG standard to integrate Mortara DICOM ECG modalities with ScImage’s enterprise wide PACS.
According to the companies, the ECG modality integration will allow Mortara ELI series electrocardiographs to communicate directly with the ScImage solution. The DICOM enabled ELI devices will communicate bi-directionally and receive a DICOM Modality Worklist with patient demographics and order information from the ScImage PicomEnterprise PACS solution. The ECG will then be transmitted to the PACS solution for workflow management, reporting and storage of the DICOM ECG object with results reporting to the hospital information system.
