Reston, Va.-headquartered QuadraMed Corp. has signed an agreement to buy Raleigh, N.C.-based Misys Healthcare's computerized patient record (CPR).

According to Misys, it provides application software and services to banking, treasury and healthcare institutions. Misys CPR is an enterprise-wide EMR system that provides a patient database, closed-loop medication management, laboratory and radiology management systems and data warehouse capabilities, says the company.

The Misys plc division acquisition will better position QuadraMed, a provider of care-based revenue cycle solutions for access and identity management, to support and integrate CPOE at healthcare delivery systems, says Misys.

The $33 million deal is expected to close in 60 days, after which QuadraMed will file additional financial information in accordance with its public company reporting obligations.
