Despite regulatory changes for hospitals to help physicians purchase EMRs, hospitals remain cautious, according to a study by Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC).
The HSC study’s findings are based on site visits to 12 nationally representative metropolitan communities in 2007, which the group has been tracking since 1996.
HSC is a nonpartisan policy research organization located in Washington, D.C. that designs and conducts studies focused on the United States healthcare system to inform the thinking and decisions of policy makers in government and private industry.
