Advocate Physician Partners, a joint venture between the Advocate Health Care (Oak Brook, Ill.) system and select physicians on the medical staffs of Advocate hospitals, is implementing the Westborough, Mass.-based eClinicalWorks EMR as part of its Clinical Integration Program.

The largest network of independent physicians in the Midwest, APP is rolling out the EMR as part of an ongoing effort to enhance patient outcomes and create efficiency, says the company. The solution will offer real-time access and updating of patient information anytime, anywhere and enhance communication between providers and patients, it touts.

APP will recommend that its 2,600 independent physicians use eClinicalWorks EMR and practice management tools to support and supplement the CI Program. The organization is planning a phased implementation process in which more than 1,200 physicians in 400 offices will be up and running on the EMR platform by the middle of 2012.

Users will also be able to access the system through smartphones using eClinicalMobile, and will have access to a data analysis tool called eBO for customized reports, says the company.
