Beth Israel Medical Center, part of New York-based Continuum Health Partners hospital system, has implemented Meta Health Technology’s Electronic Physician Query software as part of an effort to improve clinical documentation.

Meta’s (New York) software is designed to automate the query process by closing the loop between the coder and the clinician, while also providing hospitals with the tools needed to manage and measure the effectiveness of the process, says the company. As part of the agreement, Continuum has the option to expand product implementation to its other hospitals: St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals, Long Island College Hospital, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Beth Israel Medical Center is a 1,111-bed, full-service tertiary teaching hospital.
