Truman Medical Appoints New IT Executive

Kansas City, Mo.-based Truman Medical Centers (TMC) appointed Lisa Odom to the position of executive director of information excellence.

Prior to her service at TMC, she served as assistant director of medical records at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for nearly 10 years. Since coming to TMC in 2001, she has served as director of medical records. She was promoted to assistant administrator of support services in 2005.

Odom holds a bachelor's degree in health information management as well as a master's in business and health administration. She is an adjunct professor at Penn Valley Community College.
