Malvern, Pa.-based Siemens and Armonk, N.Y.-based IBM are collaborating to help community hospitals reduce their operating costs and energy consumption.
Siemens MedSeries4, an information system designed specifically for community hospitals, is being bundled with server technology from IBM. The collaboration — which the companies say can cut initial hardware costs by 25 percent — intends to extend the power of MedSeries4 in complex IT environments.
