The Brooklyn Health Information Exchange (BHIX), a not-for-profit New York City-based RHIO, is deploying New York-based ActiveHealth’s clinical decision support, personal health record (PHR) and disease management services.

Evidence-based clinical alerts will be issued to physicians via the BHIX clinician portal as well as through EHR applications. BHIX will also use personal health records to give Brooklyn residents access to their personal health information, and patients will be able to grant access to their PHR to healthcare providers.

BHIX is the recipient of two Health Care Efficiency and Affordability Law for New Yorkers (HEAL NY) Phase 5 grants.
