Dayton, Ohio-based NCR Corporation and Tampa, Fla.-based Sage Software Healthcare, Inc., a provider of practice management and EHR software, are collaborating to develop a self-service solution for physician practices that will facilitate interoperability with EHRs.

The solution combines the functionality of NCR’s MediKiosk with Intergy EHR by Sage to help healthcare providers manage operations including financial, clinical and administrative processes, according to the companies.

Users of Intergy EHR will now be able to deploy MediKiosk, which allows patients to check in for office visits, update demographic and insurance information, and electronically sign consent forms. The two systems will be integrated later this year, say the companies.
