SunGard Availability Services of Wayne, Pa., and Phoenix Health Systems of Richardson, Texas, have partnered up. According to SunGard, a disaster recovery consulting service company, it paired up with Phoenix, an RCM company that offers business process optimization, to help community hospitals with business continuity staffing plans.

SunGard provides software and processing solutions for financial services, higher education and the public sector, it says. In addition, the company also provides disaster recovery services, managed IT services and business continuity management software, the company says.

Together, SunGard says, the two companies will offer a holistic approach to planning and recovery, allowing IT and hospital operations to recover quickly and efficiently after a systems outage.
