San Francisco-based McKesson has acquired EN-Chart Scanning Program, LLC (Dandridge, Tenn.), a provider of computer-assisted facility coding and compliance solutions for emergency department visits.

EN-Chart provides coding and charge capture capabilities designed to enhance emergency department information systems (EDIS) and help to optimize revenue, says the company. The solutions can be used stand-alone or integrated with existing hospital EDIS.

According to McKesson, the acquisition is the culmination of a two-year business partnership in which the company has offered EN-Chart as Horizon Emergency Care Facility Coding.
