Falls Church, Va.-based Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has created a new vertically-focused healthcare group. The new practice will focus on intellectual property developed at CSC in software and service offerings for providers, health plans, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers and allied global industries.
CSC says its healthcare sector will leverage core intellectual property to help clients innovate new or enhanced clinical and business processes, including those related to supply chain management, RCM, claims processing, document management and clinical trial management. The group is bolstered by the 2007 acquisitions of First Consulting Group and Covansys, which the company says strengthened its offshore presence as well as its consulting and outsourcing solutions.
The company’s new sector will offer clients onshore and offshore CIS, claims processing systems and enterprise content management systems. In addition, application management services and business process outsourcing offerings will be supported from its Bangalore and Chennai, India centers.
