Montgomery, Ala.-based Alpha II is contracting with Sage Software (Tampa, Fla.) to make its ClaimStaker product available as a component of Sage products, beginning with the Intergy by Sage practice management system.

The Sage Software technology integration, now in the pilot phase, will allow Intergy users to verify both claims from the payer’s perspective using a medical necessity and coding edits database.

According to the company, ClaimStaker is designed to improve claim validity, increase cash flow and demonstrate clinical defensibility by editing claim files prior to submission. Its claims-editing software can be implemented as a stand-alone solution for healthcare providers.
