Associated Orthopedics & Sports Medicine (AOSM), a full-service orthopedics and sports medicine practice with two facilities located in north central Texas, has installed Raleigh, N.C.-based Viztek’s Opal-ORTHO PACS and U-Arm DR.

According to the company, Viztek’s solutions replaced another PACS that was in use for the past four years. All images and patient data were migrated to the new system, allowing for patient records to be viewed at either office, and enabling a completely digital radiology workflow, it says.

AOSM’s offices are located in Plano and Frisco, Texas. At AOSM, the staff of orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, physician assistants, nurses, rehabilitation specialists and administrative staff provide a complete circle of care, from the initial diagnosis through patient education, treatment, recovery and rehabilitation.
