Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center has selected Reston, Va.-based QuadraMed's Enterprise Scheduling (QES) solution to schedule hospital ancillary procedures and accelerate reimbursements.
According to the company, Wake Forest Baptist will implement QuadraMed's enterprise scheduling solution to automate workflow for improved clinician and patient satisfaction, as well as increased organizational productivity.
The rules-based QES system enables healthcare organizations to centralize and streamline their patient access processes, and an identity management technology for accurate patient identification, the company touts. The solution provides automated call-back reminders for patient visits and upfront medical-necessity verification to accelerate reimbursements, it adds.
Wake Forest Baptist's integrated health system includes North Carolina Baptist Hospital and Wake Forest University Health Sciences, which consists of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Wake Forest University Physicians. With 22 affiliate hospitals, the organization is responsible for more than 1,000 acute care, rehabilitation, long-term, and psychiatric care beds, as well as outpatient services, and community health and information centers.
